Pre-Medical Committee

The Medicine Degree is not offered at Missouri State University. To become a medical doctor, you need to attend a medical school and earn a Doctor of Allopathic Medicine (M.D.) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) at an accredited school of medicine.

Note: Students who are wanting to become a medical doctor may major in any area they wish as long as they have the science background necessary to pass the MCAT and be a viable candidate for medical schools. Students majoring in other than science will need guidance from a pre-medical advisor.
