Kyle Aho
Kyle Aho received his Master of Music degree with academic honors in jazz piano performance from the New England Conservatory as well as a Bachelor of Music degree, magna cum laude, in piano performance from Idaho State University. He has studied jazz with Fred Hersch, Jerry Bergonzi, Michael Cain, and Frank Carlberg.
Kyle has performed with Bob Brookmeyer, George Garzone, Joe Lovano, Jerry Bergonzi, Geri Brown, Avery Sharpe, John Lockwood, Joe Hunt, Randy Hamm, Bruce Gertz, John Hazilla, Lynn Seaton, Bob Gulloti, Benny Golson, Lewis Nash, Arturo O’Farrill, Chico O’Farrill, Peter Zimmer, George Russell, Ralph Alessi, Ronnie Burrage, Jeremy Allen, Phil Grenadier, Joel Press, Richie Barshay and many others.
Mr. Aho joined the MSU faculty in 2010 and teaches jazz piano, improvisation, and jazz symposium.
