Welcome

From Missouri State University

As president of Missouri State University, I want to welcome you to the performance of the Missouri State University (MSU) Wind Ensemble conducted by Dr. Brad Snow.

The MSU Wind Ensemble is the premier wind band of the department of music and has a strong reputation in Missouri, throughout the region and across the nation. Graduates from the MSU Wind Ensemble hold distinguished teaching positions in orchestras around the world and in leading military bands.

The MSU Wind Ensemble demonstrates the exemplary talent, curriculum and student opportunities that exist throughout our many programs. I am pleased this event will showcase the talents of Missouri State’s outstanding instrumentalists and their conductor.

Missouri State University is a destination arts campus and an All-Steinway School with outstanding facilities including the John Goodman Amphitheatre, Ellis Hall and Brick City.

I hope you will visit campus and that you enjoy this performance!

From the Reynolds College

I am honored to welcome you to the performance by the Missouri State University (MSU) Wind Ensemble. In the Reynolds College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities, we offer a variety of dynamic programs.

Two of the things that I am most proud of are the MSU Wind Ensemble and the Pride Marching Band. The MSU Wind Ensemble makes significant contributions to the advancement of our university community.  In particular, the arts help shape our inclusive campus community at MSU. The success of the MSU Wind Ensemble originates from the leadership of Dr. Brad Snow. Brad has provided clear-cut dedication and commitment for the path students have with making a human impact in the arts across Missouri and beyond. Brad exemplifies the excellence and quality that makes Missouri State University a destination campus to study the arts. The MSU Wind Ensemble is taking the arts on our campus to the next level – I know you will love the performance as much as I do.

From the Department of Music

It is my pleasure to welcome you all to this performance by the Missouri State University (MSU) Wind Ensemble at the 2024 Missouri Music Educators Association In-Service Conference. The MSU Department of Music offers a wide variety of excellent performing ensembles, and we are pleased to share one of them with you at this event.

We are a welcoming campus and department with a place for all students to continue playing or singing regardless of what major path is chosen. This is part of our commitment to MSU's public affairs mission in Cultural Competence and Community Engagement.

Strong leadership in our ensemble programs has resulted in success for the MSU Wind Ensemble and for our students who work with Dr. Brad Snow, an outstanding director and teacher. Our campus continues its quest to be our state's destination campus for the arts through performance excellence, inclusion for all, and the joy of performing together.  I hope you enjoy today’s performance!
