Bear Battalion is dedicated to training future leaders. It's composed of student cadets from six universities and headquartered on the Missouri State campus. All student cadets fully participate in the planning, training and execution of the Battalion's mission.

Build leadership skills with a minor in military science

Prepare for a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. You have the option to go Army Reserve, National Guard or compete for active duty with the degree program of your choice.

Are you a veteran?

Student veterans may be eligible for enrollment in the Advanced Courses because of their previous military training and experience. This advanced placement option allows most military veterans to complete the ROTC program in just two years without losing their GI Bill entitlements.

As a military-friendly school, Missouri State also offers many unique services for student veterans. Through the Veteran Student Center, veterans gain access to many perks including priority registration, support from nine dedicated faculty members, mentorship and much more.

Are you interested in pursuing a nursing career in the military?

The Army ROTC offers scholarships, a unique summer nursing experience and the opportunity to serve our soldiers with the best nursing care possible. Students in the Army Nurse Corps have access to scholarships to help cover tuition and book costs as well as a monthly stipend.
