Outdoor Leadership

This certificate provides students with broad exposure to foundational courses in the study of leadership in outdoor recreational settings, to enhance student preparation for further graduate and/or professional study in a variety of parks and recreation fields.

Program requirements (12 hours)

  1. REC 211(3) or 311(3); REC 309(3); KIN 260(2) and REC 300(1) or 307(3); REC 302(3) or 451(3).
  2. All candidates must satisfy the General University Certificate Requirements.

Completion requirements

  1. Attain a grade of C or better in all courses used to fulfill the certificate requirements.
  2. Attain a GPA of 2.50 or higher for all courses used to fulfill the certificate requirements.
