IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director, Community Engagement and Operations
GENERAL FUNCTION: The Community Coordinator, Partner & Student Engagement, coordinates day-to-day operations for efactory visitors, partners and student program participants including meeting space reservation and usage. This position supports and assists the Director, Community Engagement and Operations in facilitating the operation of efactory by coordinating services and providing assistance to clients, partners, students, and stakeholders.
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required. A Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, or a related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of years of experience and education may be considered for substitution of educational requirements.
Experience: At least two years of experience working in a business incubator or entrepreneurship center, owning a business, working for a business or economic development organization, or working in marketing is required. Experience in higher education, nonprofit or community engagement preferred.
Skills: The ability to independently manage details associated with multiple programs and projects to track activities and meet deadlines is required. Strong oral and written communication skills are required. Excellent interpersonal skills are required. Computer and technology literacy is required. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is required.
Effort: Occasionally required to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
Other: The scope of the position requires evening and occasional weekend work. Occasional overnight, out-of-town travel is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists in developing and implementing policies governing the operation of the
facility consistent with room rentals, partner, and community group agreements, including
meeting performance metrics and goals.
2. Supports the execution of the partner program, efactory’s strategic partner engagement
initiative, including meeting partner expectations, identifying new partners and sponsors
for efactory programming and events.
4. Assists in budget planning and tracking for meeting space usage and partner-related activities
5. Coordinates meeting space management and room reservation usage, including daily opening and closing activities.
6. Responsible for scheduling, communication, room set up/supplies needed, and cleanliness. Maintains a customer service-oriented attitude.
7. Ensures a welcoming and professional environment for all visitors and users of the space.
8. Assists with technology and tools for meeting spaces.
9. Supports the execution of events and programs of the Office of Student Employment, including but not limited to National Student Employment Week, Leaders in Community Service and efactory Student Experience Programs.
10. Contributes to a collegial, team-building work environment, motivating staff and cultivating productive, collaborative relationships with all constituent groups.
11. Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training and/or courses as directed.
12. Contributes to the overall success of the Division of Community and Global Partnerships by performing all other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION: The Community Coordinator, Partner and Student Engagement supervises regular full-time and part-time staff and/or student employees.
