Session abstract
A panel from Missouri State University's Graduate College will lead a discussion regarding efforts to understand how to support first-generation graduate students and develop policies and practices that will sustain this unique population of students throughout their graduate school experience. Similarities and differences between the challenges faced by first generation undergraduates and graduates will be highlighted and the ramifications for retention discussed.

- Gain a better understanding of the ways in which MSU programs are benefiting graduate students and how those programs can be further strengthened.
