Session abstract
The goal of ensuring that students who may encounter unforeseen difficulties navigating a campus environment is worthy, but complicated by limited resources and the impossibility of finding a one-size-fits-all solution. Using our experience at MSU, we discuss data analysis, common pitfalls in separating insights from 'noise,' and effectively sharing information with non-technical audiences with the goal of achieving action.
Learning objectives
- Non-specialists will be introduced to useful tenets of data interpretation (and its limits) in the context of designing practical interventions.
- Participants will share in our experiences regarding what works and doesn't in sharing this information with the goal of building momentum and action.
