• Can I earn the general business degree online?

  • Yes. The BS in General Business is available 100% online, on campus, or as a mix of both — same faculty, same degree.

• How long does the degree take if I'm transferring?

  • Most students who have completed an Associate of Arts degree can finish the general business degree in four to five semesters. We build a personalized degree plan with every transfer student, and we maintain course-by-course transfer guides for Missouri community colleges.

• What can you do with a general business degree?

  • Graduates pursue careers in banking, management, sales, human resources, operations and small-business ownership. Because the degree spans every core business discipline, it's also a strong foundation for graduate study in business administration, accounting and related fields.

• What's the difference between general business and a specialized business major?

  • A specialized major (like finance or marketing) goes deep in one discipline; general business gives you working knowledge across all of them, plus room to concentrate in areas such as accounting, information technology, finance, insurance, management or marketing. It suits students who want breadth, are undecided between business fields, or are building a degree around an existing career.
