About Engage

What is Engage?

ENGAGE is a new violence prevention program for college campuses. Missouri Partners in Prevention (PIP), the Missouri Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence (MOCADSV), developed the new strategy in partnership with The Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), college campuses across the state of Missouri, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Engage is a bystander intervention program focused on encouraging a culture of care and a desire to engage in potentially harmful situations.

This is a program meant to give you the skills and confidence to respond to various problems and concerns you may encounter while at our campus.

Engaging in and caring about our community empowers us to foster a culture of awareness, care, and inclusion.

This program's goal is to focus on key health and safety topics with shared risk and protective factors:

- Mental Health and Suicide

- Drug and Alcohol use

- Bias and Discrimination

- Intimate Partner Violence and Sexual Violence
