What is a designated driver?

A designated driver is someone who cares about their friends and family. A designated driver provides a safe ride home for themselves and the members of their group by agreeing to stay sober (not even taking one sip of alcohol) if others are drinking. The important thing is that someone stays sober to make sure you have a safe way home.
