Offered an MSU-only scholarship?

MSU has a great safety net if you applied for but did not receive the KC Scholars Traditional Scholarship.

Our MSU-KC Scholars Partner Award is valued at $10,000 per year for up to five years. This could cover most – if not all – of your annual tuition and fees.

As a bonus: Non-Missouri residents will qualify for the in-state tuition rate, which doubles the value.

Deadline: To be eligible, students must be admitted to the University and have submitted a FAFSA by February 1.

So, how much does it all cover?

How much tuition you may pay depends on your eligibility for Federal Pell Grants.

If you’re full-Pell eligible, you will very likely owe $0 in tuition and fees. However, this is not guaranteed.

Students in other Pell classifications (half-Pell, non-Pell) would owe more.

Invest in yourself with a college education

College can be a big investment, but it’s one that pays off in the long run. Missouri State strives to put your academic dreams within financial reach.

MSU’s typical costs are lower than most other universities in the state and well below the national average.

Make sure you’re eligible

You’ll qualify for the MSU-KC Scholars Partner Award if you:

  • Earn at least one of the following benchmarks:
    • 24 or higher ACT score.
    • 1160 or higher SAT score.
    • High school GPA of 3.25 or higher.
    • Place in the top 50 of your high school graduating class.
  • File the FAFSA by Feb. 1 of your senior year in high school.
  • Sign up for a university housing contract and meal plan.
