The Missouri Secretary of State's office is expecting a high voter turnout in the November 4th election. To meet the influx of voters at the polls, more citizens are needed as poll workers to ensure the voting process goes smoothly. Being a poll worker requires several hours of training and more than 13 hours of work on Election Day.
Poll workers are paid for their service on Election Day and often for training sessions. Your local authority determines how much you will be paid; in Missouri the daily pay ranges from about $64 to $100.
 
You can sign up to be a poll worker in two easy steps:
 
1) Make sure you are registered to vote at your current address (to find out, check
https://mcvr.mo.gov/voterlookup/ ). If you are not registered, go to
2) Sign up online at http://www.sos.mo.gov/pollworker/ to become a Missouri poll worker (you must be a US Citizen and registered to vote at your current address)
 
Your information will then be forwarded to your local election authority, who will contact you about serving as a poll worker. If you have questions, contact your local election authority
