Bear Battalion Mourns Alum Killed in Afghanistan

The Missouri State Bear Battalion mourns the loss of 1LT David Johnson who was killed in action in Afghanistan on 25 Jan 2012.  1LT Johnson was an MSU ROTC Cadet from 2006-2010.  He was commissioned as a second lieutenant on 22 May 2010.  He deployed to Afghanistan as a platoon leader on 14 Dec 2011.  1LT Johnson was a very dedicated cadet and was always willing to go the extra mile to help his fellow cadets in class and in training.  He is a graduate of Evangel University and is survived by his parents and three siblings.  1LT Johnson gave the ultimate sacrifice for his country and will never be forgotten.

Military Science/ ROTC

Military Science 100- and 200- level classes are open to all full-time students. They each provide two academic credit hours and may fulfill elective credit in any program.

Military Science minor available to contracted students pursuing any of these degrees:

  • Bachelor of Arts
  • Bachelor of Science
  • Bachelor of Science in Education
  • Masters degree programs
