For Faculty and Staff

Honoring students at commencement

Commencement is a major milestone in a student's life, and as a faculty or staff member, you have played a role in achieving that milestone. That is why we encourage and invite all Missouri State University faculty and staff to participate in commencement.

Academic regalia

Missouri State will cover the cost of renting your gown. Our contract allows each participant to keep their cap and hood to use in future commencement ceremonies. If you plan to participate in the fall 2015 commencement and do not already own your own regalia, you must complete a Faculty Regalia Order Form. Please submit this form to Ashley Kelly in Event & Meeting Services, PSU 302, by October 31, 2015.

Ordered regalia must be picked up at MaroonNation (formerly "It's A Greek Thing") in the Plaster Student Union second floor on
December 7 - 10, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m..

Commencement day

Please arrive at the racquetball court area in Hammons Student Center 45 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony for donning regalia and marshalling. A light buffet will be served. You will line up in Hammons Student Center then march to the main floor of JQH Arena.

Special accommodations

The University must have at least one week's notice of any disability accommodation (other than seating) in order to serve the needs identified. Submit your request to Debbie Letterman, Commencement Chair.
