This policy is to ensure the responsible reuse, redistribution, and disposal of surplus University property in a manner that supports operational efficiency, safeguards resources, and protects the environment. - Surplus is for university use only.
- Computer equipment will only be released to Computer Coordinators, Computer Services, or College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CNAS) Electronic Support due to the removal of components and generally the poor condition of the units.
- No surplus computers will be release without approval by the Chief Information Officer, or their designee.
- Departments that receive surplus property for use, and subsequently return it to surplus property within ninety (90) days, will be charged fifty dollars $50.00 via budget transfer to Property Control.
- Surplus property that requires extensive repair, or is deemed unacceptable for use by the university, will be disposed of in accordance with university policy. This decision shall be made at the discretion of the Property Control Coordinator or their designee.
