Program description

The Sport Pedagogy Certificate is a 12-hour program that includes four 3-credit courses (3 required and 1 elective). It is designed to provide additional experiences to teachers and coaches that enhances their ability to teach, coach and/or administer physical education, physical activity, and athletic programs.

Admission requirements

  1. A Bachelor's degree in kinesiology, exercise science, health, physical education, or related field from an accredited university.
  2. Letter of intent which must include: (a) career goals, (b) research experience, (c) research interests.
  3. Professional curriculum vitae or resume.
  4. All additional admission requirements established by Missouri State University and the Graduate College.
