President's Email to Campus Community (January 20)

The following email was sent from the president's office to the Missouri State community on January 20, 2021.

Subject: Additional vaccines available for employees, retirees

I have some good news to share with you!

Missouri State University received an additional 975 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine yesterday afternoon.

The vaccine will continue to be available by appointment to employees who meet Priority Phase 1B, Tier 1 and Tier 2 through Monday, Jan 25.

Additionally, starting Thursday, Jan. 21, the vaccine will be available by appointment to members of employee households along with retirees and members of their households who meet Priority Phase 1B, Tier 1 and Tier 2.

Vaccines will be offered to these groups in addition to our employees on Thursday, Jan. 21, Friday, Jan. 22 and Monday, Jan. 25.

How do I sign up to be vaccinated?

Those meeting these expanded criteria may begin signing up today, Wednesday, Jan. 20, by using the MyHealth Portal for COVID-19 vaccinations.

Vaccinations will be administered at Magers Health and Wellness Center.

How will I know when I’m eligible to be vaccinated?

We hope we’ll continue to receive a weekly supply of vaccines as we move forward. Please stay up-to-date by regularly reviewing the COVID-19 vaccine website and reading Inside Missouri State.

The state-defined vaccination criteria has been subject to change or expansion with little notice. We will update you when these changes occur.

Please note, we plan to use the Missouri State Alert system to notify employees via text should we have extra vaccines available at the end of the day for those who qualify and are able to take advantage of the short notice.

It is important that we all get vaccinated as soon as possible. Please take advantage of this benefit the university is providing at no cost to you.

Thank you for all you do.
