President Smart's schedule from May 3-11, 2024, is filled with speaking engagements, events recognizing faculty and staff, board meetings, several Commencement ceremonies and a special event to honor his tenure as president.

Friday, May 3

President Smart's schedule includes kicking off University Staff Ambassadors Day. He will then join the group for lunch. In the afternoon, he will attend the Faculty Staff Alumni and Donors Appreciation Event. In the evening, he will attend the Judy Awards.

Sunday, May 5

President Smart is scheduled to take part in the Commencement ceremony for Greenwood Laboratory School.

Monday, May 6

President Smart is set to address attendees at the Service-Learning Faculty and Community Partner Thank You Reception. Later in the evening, he will participate in serving at the President’s Finals Breakfast.

Tuesday, May 7

President Smart will attend "KSMU Day" to celebrate KSMU's 50th anniversary. In the afternoon, he is scheduled to attend the All Faculty Recognition Reception.

Wednesday, May 8

President Smart is scheduled to attend Lunch with a Genius, featuring keynote speaker Laura Derrick, university project manager and architect in Planning, Design and Construction.

Thursday, May 9

President Smart will be in various Board of Governors meetings before being honored with a presidential plaque and a dinner with the board.

Friday, May 10

President Smart will take part in his final Commencement ceremonies, celebrating the achievements of MSU students. Go Bears!
