Week of November 23-December 6, 2009

The third campus Town Hall meeting on the budget and a trip to Washington, D.C., highlight the two weeks of November 23-December 6, 2009, for Missouri State University President Michael T. Nietzel.

The Town Hall meeting will be from 3-4 p.m. Tuesday, November 24. At that meeting, Dr. Nietzel will outline his reallocation proposal for Fiscal Year 2011.

There will be no classes for students and faculty on Wednesday, November 25, and the entire University will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 26 and 27, in observance of Thanksgiving.

On December 5, Dr. Nietzel and other Missouri State officials will travel to Washington, D.C., for an alumni reception on Sunday, December 6, and meetings with the Missouri Congressional delegation on Monday and Tuesday, December 7 and 8.

Throughout these two week, Dr. Nietzel has meetings scheduled with alumni, donors and friends of the University.

Other highlights for the two weeks include:

• Tuesday, November 24 – Dr. Nietzel plans to participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Grand Street and National Avenue intersection.
