2013-2014 Sugar Bears Dance Team Auditions
Location for Sugar Bears Audition Clinics and Auditions:
Missouri State University - Hammons Student Center, West Court
*Please enter through the southwest doors at the corner of Holland and Monroe.
Clinics:
Clinic 1: Sunday, April 7
Registration: 10:30-11:00am, Clinic: 11:00am-1:00pm
Clinic 2: Sunday, April 14
Registration: 11:30-12:00, Clinic: 12:00-2:00pm
Requirements for attending the Sugar Bears Audition Clinics:
1. Signed Release Form (due at clinic registration)
2. Photocopy of Health Insurance card (front and back) (due at clinic registration)
3. Copy of current physical clearing you to dance (due at clinic registration)*
4. $20 clinic fee (due at clinic registration - covers both clinics)
*A copy of your current physical, or any official documentation from your physician stating that you are cleared to participate in dance team activities such as dancing, aerobics, running and tumbling
Recommended attire for clinics: Fitted dance top, dance shorts and jazz shoes. Bring tennis shoes/hip hop shoes and sweat pants for hip hop skills. No jewelry or gum. It is a good idea to bring knee pads to the clinic and tryouts.
Clinic will include: group stretch, leaps and turns, hip hop tricks, jazz combo, fight song & tryout info meeting.
Auditions:
First Round: Saturday, April 20
Finals: Sunday, April 21
Requirments for participation in auditions:
1. Attend at least one of the Audition Clinics on April 7 or April 14
2. Turn in all clinic items: Signed Release Form, Photocopy of Health Insurance Card (front and back), Current Physical clearing you to dance, $20 clinic fee
3. Tryout Application (Due by April 14, 2013)
4. Recent wallet size photo (Due by April 14, 2013)
5. $20 tryout processing fee (Due by April 14, 2013)
6. Incoming freshmen and transfer students: Proof of Acceptance to Missouri State University for Fall 2013
7. Current MSU Students: a printout of your current Spring 2013 schedule and an official printout of your current cumulative GPA
*All students must maintin 12 credit hours per semester and have a 2.0 cumulative and semester GPA.
First Round: Saturday, April 20
Check-in: 11:00am-11:30am (stretch on your own)
11:30am - be stretched and ready
Attire for first round:
Fitted, sleeveless, cropped dance top (like a sports bra) and dance shorts (both may be any solid color), jazz shoes, performance make up, slick, low ponytail. Also, it is a good idea to bring knee pads. Stud earrings are the only jewelry permitted. Please cover tattoos.
Finalists will be posted at www.missouristate.edu/sugarbears immediately following tabulation, and will report back for Finals on Sunday, April 21.

The 2013-2014 Sugar Bears Dance Team members will be posted immediatley following tabulation. A short, mandatory team meeting and uniform fitting will follow the announcement.
