Our mission

The University Safety & Transportation Department fosters a safe and secure environment for the university community through professional services in law enforcement, security, crime prevention/education, and traffic/parking with an emphasis on community policing concepts.

 

Hours of Operation

Our Radio Communications Center is open 24/7/365.  To report a crime or to request service, please call 836-5509.  If you have an emergency, please dial 911.

Our business office is located at 636 E. Elm Street and is open Monday through Friday from 8am-4:30pm.  For non-emergency information, please call this office at 836-8870.

This 20 minute video gives guidance for surviving an active shooter situation, and is an excellent resource on this topic. It is available to students, faculty and staff of Missouri State. You must enter your BearPass Login and password to access the video.

This comprehensive set of videos were developed specifically for students on a college campus covers seven important topics relevant to safety on campus, including assaults, thefts, stalking and unhealthy relationships, everyday safety and travel tips, and common self-defense.
