Locations across campus provide Missouri State students and employees with great tools for their recreational activities.

Betty and Bobby Allison Recreation Fields

Two sand volleyball courts and two multipurpose turf fields are located just South of Harrison and National. Use of the recreation fields is available for Missouri State students and faculty/staff members.

Recreation field policies

  • Priority is given to intramural sports programs, followed by Missouri State student organizations and student open play. For other usage requests, please call Campus Recreation (417-836-5334), but additional reservation fees may apply.
  • To turn on the lights, press the button on the east side of the recreation outdoor building. The lights are on a timer, so use the button again if the lights turn off. It takes 10 minutes for the lights to fully turn on.
  • The following is not permitted on the fields or sand volleyball courts: pets (except for service animals), unauthorized vehicles, grills, bicycles, skateboards, golf equipment, smoking, chewing gum, glass containers, sunflower seeds, metal cleats, and staking or digging.

Hammons Student Center

Hammons Student Center is home to a pool, racquetball courts, an indoor track, an arena and multi-purpose courts. Your BearPass card is required to check in, and lockers, locks and equipment can be checked out at equipment issue.

The facility is first come, first serve when not in use by a class or organization.

Indoor track at the McDonald Arena

McDonald Arena

The arena and floor track is open from 5-10 p.m. Monday-Friday, unless the facility has been reserved or is in use by a class. No reservations are required for general use. Your BearPass card may be required to check in. Call 417-836-5370 for more details.

Outdoor track at the Plaster Sports Complex

Plaster Stadium

Plaster Stadium houses racquetball courts and a football field. Lockers, locks and equipment can be checked out at the reception desk.

The information desk number is 417-836-4880. Hours vary seasonally.
