Missouri State University is often first encountered through its publications and other printed materials. And most people develop their first impression of the university based on its printed materials, signs and other visual stimuli. For that reason, the office of publications was created in 1985 as a unit of University Relations. Since then, it has provided solutions to university clients’ needs, and, in the process, won numerous awards in a variety of local, regional and national competitions.
The Missouri State office of publications provides professional expertise in the areas of graphic design, editing and writing.
The office produces the majority of student recruitment publications, as well as development, alumni relations and Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts promotional materials. In addition, Missouri State publications creates a wide variety of general university publications and publishes the Missouri State Insider and the Missouri State alumni magazine on a regular basis.
Among the services provided to produce a publication from concept to completion include editing, design, illustration, and assisting with photography. Each project is produced at a nominal fee, which ranges from $25 - $250 depending upon the complexity of the publication. An additional charge for materials used also may apply.
