Meetings of the Board of Governors Risk Management and Audit Committee and Executive Committee, a dedication ceremony for the Ellis Hall renovations, the NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet, and the State of the University Address highlight the weeks of Sept. 18 – Oct. 1, 2017 for Missouri State University President Clif Smart.
Monday, Sept. 18
President Smart will attend the Board of Governors Risk Management and Audit Committee meeting. He will also attend a regular meeting of the board of directors for the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce. That evening President Smart will attend the Bartee Lecture presented by the Honorable Patricia Breckenridge.
Tuesday, Sept. 19
President Smart will attend a special meeting of the board of directors for the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce. He will also meet with the accreditation team for the university’s bachelor of science in nursing program, attend the College of Business Career Fair and meet with the Staff Senate Executive Committee. That evening President Smart will host the Presidential Scholar Banquet at his home.
Wednesday, Sept. 20
President Smart will be interviewed in KICK 92.3 FM. He will also speak at the Bears in the Know Luncheon. That afternoon President Smart will meet with the Student Government Association president and vice president and attend the Board of Governors September Executive Committee meeting.
Thursday, Sept. 21
President Smart will attend the Springfield Good Community meeting. He will also have a lunch meeting with Mun Choi, president of the University of Missouri system.
Friday, Sept. 22
President Smart will participate in a dinner honoring private contributors for the Ellis Hall project.
Saturday, Sept. 23
President Smart will host guests in his tent at BearFest Village and attend the Bears home football game against Illinois State University. That evening he will attend the university’s Latinx Heritage Month Carnival Banquet and the NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet.
Sunday, Sept. 24
President Smart will speak at the dedication of Ellis Hall.
Monday, Sept. 25
President Smart and Dr. Frank Einhellig will give their annual State of the University Address at 12:15 p.m. in the PSU Theater. That evening President Smart will attend the Student Government Association Administrator Banquet.
Wednesday, Sept. 27
President Smart will attend the Rosie Makes Cents + Brosie Launch event. He will also attend the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Coaches Appreciation Banquet.
Thursday, Sept. 28 – Sunday, Oct. 1
President Smart and his wife, Gail, will take a short vacation.
Throughout the weeks
President Smart will meet with alumni, donors and friends of Missouri State.
