Schedule Highlights

Week of Feb. 13 – 26, 2017

Numerous internal and external meetings related to the university’s budget and progress on the 2016-2017 Action Plan, the February Board of Governor’s Executive Committee meeting, and a President’s Diversity Council meeting highlight the weeks of Feb. 13 – 26, 2017 for Missouri State University President Clif Smart.

Monday, Feb. 13

President Smart will meet with the senior administrative and academic leadership teams to track the University’s progress on the 2016-2017 Action Plan. He will also attend a meeting of the Springfield Vision Task Force.

Tuesday, Feb. 14

President Smart will attend the P-20 Council of the Ozarks meeting at the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.

Wednesday, Feb. 15

President Smart will speak at the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association meeting. He will also attend the Assessment Symposium sponsored by the university’s student affairs in higher education graduate program. President Smart will also attend the Board of Governor’s February Executive Committee meeting. That evening he will attend the men’s basketball game against Illinois State University.

Thursday, Feb. 16

President Smart will speak at the Staff Senate meeting regarding the university’s budget. He will also attend a meeting of the internal members of the President’s Diversity Council.

Friday, Feb. 17

President Smart’s monthly program, Engaging the Community, will air on KSMU.

Monday, Feb. 20

The university will be closed in observance of Presidents’ Day.

Tuesday, Feb. 21

President Smart will attend a meeting of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He will also speak at the Student Government Association meeting regarding the university’s budget. President Smart will also speak at the College Republicans meeting.

Wednesday, Feb. 22

President Smart will attend the university’s Endowed Faculty Appointments dinner.

Thursday, Feb. 23

President Smart will attend the Springfield Good Community meeting. He will also attend a meeting with other community leaders about future plans for IDEA Commons. President Smart will also speak at a meeting of all past chairs of the university’s Staff Senate. That evening he will have dinner with Dr. George Kuh, director for the National Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment, who will be presenting earlier in the day to the university’s division of student affairs.

Friday, Feb. 24

President Smart will meet with President Pro Tem of the Missouri Senate Ron Richard and Senator Jay Wasson. That evening he will attend the women’s basketball game against Indiana State University.

Saturday, Feb. 25

President Smart will attend the Alumni Association Board of Directors meeting. He will also attend the men’s basketball game against Wichita State University.

Throughout the weeks

President Smart will meet with alumni, donors and friends of Missouri State.
