Parking permits are issued on an academic year basis. You may display your new academic year parking permit after August 1 prior to the beginning of the fall semester.
There are two types of parking permits available. The hangtag permit and the sticker permit.
Display the hangtag from the rearview mirror with the design/color facing out, unobstructed.
Stickers are to be attached to the back of the rearview mirror.
Do not leave the permit on the dash.
Motorcycle permits must be displayed on the front fork. The number must be visible from the front of the motorcycle.
You can use the hangtag permit with another vehicle. However, if you use another vehicle for more than a week, you must register it with the Parking Administration Office.
Do not sell, give away or loan your permit. You are responsible for any tickets issued to a vehicle displaying your permit.
Persons who car pool can share the same permit. In the event of a violation, the parking ticket will be charged to the permit owner, no matter who is driving.
If you forget your permit, you must request a temporary permit from one of the Safety and Transportation locations on campus and display it in accordance with instructions. (See Temporary and Visitor Parking.)
If your status changes and you no longer require a parking permit, you may be eligible for a refund on the unused period for which the permit was issued. The parking permit must be returned to Parking Administration before a refund can be initiated. (Refer to fee refund schedule shown under "Parking Permit Fees/Violation Fines".)

Reserved permits will be issued on an annual basis. Available reserved parking permits will be issued to faculty and staff members based on employment seniority with right of renewal. An additional (alternate) reserved lot parking permit (must be the same lot as the regular permit) may be purchased for $10.00. The regular reserved permit and the alternate permit cannot be on campus at the same time. Misuse of the alternate parking permit may result in the vehicle being wheel-locked and loss of parking privileges.
