The nursing department wants you to have the best training possible by the time you graduate from any of our programs. In addition to community learning, the department also gives you access to state-of- the-art facilities and helpful resources to help you become a better health care professional.
You will have the opportunity to practice your acute skills on mannequins in every stage of life in the department’s simulation laboratory. Programmable mannequins allow you to be exposed to all different types of illness and disease from fevers to heart attacks.
The department has complied a listing of health care resources that includes links to national nursing organizations, nursing research journals and the best websites to learn more information about the latest developments in nursing techniques.
An advisory committee made up of nursing professionals in the southwest Missouri region gives their input on curriculum and helps the department continue to provide health care to the community.
