Going above and beyond the rest

The School of Nursing wants students to have the best training possible by the time they graduate from any of Missouri State's nursing programs. In addition to community learning, the school also gives students access to state-of- the-art facilities and helpful resources to help them become better health care professionals.

  • Simulation laboratory

Students have the opportunity to practice acute care skills on mannequins in every stage of life in the school’s simulation laboratory.  Programmable mannequins allow students to be exposed to many different types of illness and disease, from fevers to heart attacks.

  • Health care resources

The school has complied a listing of health care resources that includes links to national nursing organizations, nursing research journals, and the best websites to learn more information about the latest developments in nursing techniques.

  • Advisory committee

An advisory committee made up of nursing professionals in the southwest Missouri region gives their input on curriculum and helps the school continue to provide health care to the community.

MSU Care Clinic

Our students gain valuable real-world experience at the MSU Care Clinic, which also serves as an important outreach to the community.
