They will help you further develop your craft, and offer you direction and insight that will guide you with your musical career. If your forte doesn’t fit into our education, composition or performance tracks, our General Music degree program can help prepare you for a career without limits.

With this program, you will benefit from:

  • One-on-one attention from excellent educators, the vast majority of whom have doctoral degrees
  • The opportunity to participate in one of our celebrated ensembles
  • Access to state-of-the-art facilities, including our cutting edge recording studio and performance halls
  • The ability to engage in all aspects of the art of music
  • Outstanding preparation for graduate study in music

Missouri State’s Bachelor of Arts in Music is a non-comprehensive degree, which requires that you complete a minor or a second major. This allows you the flexibility to focus on both music and another area of interest, making your degree perfectly suited for your future.
