Who should apply?
Current high school sophomores and juniors in Missouri high schools during the 2012-13 academic year are welcome to apply to the 2013 Missouri Public Affairs Academy.
What are the application criteria?
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Recommendation of high school counselor or teacher
- Record of community involvement (service to school, place of worship or community)
- Willingness to attend the entire Academy for nine days from July 20-27, 2013
What is the cost of the Academy?
A non-refundable $50 registration fee is required after students have been accepted to the Academy. All other Academy expenses, including housing, meals and all Academy activities are provided by Missouri State University at no cost to participants. Travel to and from the Academy is not provided.
What is the application deadline?
Applications must be postmarked no later the March 15, 2013. Early applications are encouraged. All applicants will be notified of acceptance no later than April 1, 2013.
