To customize the use of a wordmark, with or without the Carrington Hall logo or Bear Head logo, for a University organization, office or department, the font Helvetica Neue 75 Bold is recommended. The point size of the customized name should be comparable to the size of the word "University" in the wordmark.
This font is an Adobe™ open type font that will function with both Windows and Macintosh platforms. It is available at www.Adobe.com.
For assistance in creating your customized logo, contact the Office of Publications at 836-4142 or email Publications@missouristate.edu.
It is recommended to use the following versions of the Bear Head logo for embroidery on apparel. The Bear Head has been enlarged to ensure clarity.
When placed above the University’s straight wordmark, the Bear Head logo must not extend to the left beyond the first “s” in Missouri, and may not extend to the right beyond the first “t” in State.
When placed above the University’s stacked wordmark, the Bear Head logo must not extend to the left into the “M” in Missouri, and may not extend to the right beyond the “u” in Missouri.
It is recommended the Bear Head logo not be embroidered smaller than 11/2 inches wide x 11/4 inches tall.
Madeira Thread #1236 and Robison Anton #2376 are acceptable maroon thread colors for embroidery.
For apparel, no colors other than maroon, white and black can be used in the Bear Head logo, and accompanying wordmark, if applicable. For embroidery on a khaki, beige or tan fabric, a khaki, beige or tan thread may be used in place of white thread.
