Computer and Technology Skills Courses

 Microsoft Office Suite and Other Software Application Courses 

Employees can locate and register for these classes online through My Learning Connection, located in My Missouri State, and search under the "Computer Skills- Microsoft Office/HR Sponsored" category.

Overview

These classes are designed to assist you in making the most of the computer technology and software used in your job.  The sessions are outcome oriented, taught by professionals, and allow participants to apply their new skills immediately.  Software courses should be taken in increasing levels to ensure they have successfully completed the prerequisites for the next level.  The three levels offered are Essentials, Intermediate, and Advance.  The classes are offered in two learning formats, instructor led and online on a rotating schedule each semester.  

Instructor Led Classes

Sessions are  held in Check Hall 100 or Meyer Library 205.  The HR Technical Trainers for the classes are  Ronda Medlin and Cindy Cook. Participants receive:

  • Face to face interaction with instructor and fellow employees 
  • A Course Workbook with accompanying  data and solution files to work with after the class for review
