GENERAL FUNCTION

The Instructor NT is a non-tenure track position with responsibilities to teach full-time and to provide appropriate service. The Instructor NT may participate in research or creative activities.

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS

An earned terminal degree or the degree required for teaching in certain disciplines is required. Potential or demonstrated teaching ability is required. A willingness to serve the academic unit, college, and the University is required. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Instructor NT are to teach and provide appropriate service as assigned by the academic Department Head. The Instructor NT contributes to a learning environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.

SUPERVISION

The Instructor NT receives administrative supervision from the Department Head and may exercise supervision of graduate assistants, graduate students, undergraduate majors, or student employees.
