Missouri State University is awarded funds under the Perkins program (previously NDSL) to provide loans to students for educational expenses.  The Perkins Loan Accounting group is responsbile for overseeing this program and coordinating account collection activities.  

The University contracts with ACS, Inc. to provide the actual servicing of our Perkins loans.  This outside loan services provider is responsbile for maintaining all loan information and assuring the accuracy of the loans while complying with all pertinent federal regulations.  Service activities include issuing billing statements to students in repayment; accepting and processing payments, processing and monitoring loan deferments, forbearances, and cancellations; and coordinating borrower correspondence.

The ACS Borrower Services web site provides students with the ability to view account information, including loan status, entitlement requests, and financial data, such as current balance, payment history, payoff amount, and interest information.  Borrowers can also change their billing address online, download deferment, cancellation, and forbearance forms, and make electronic payments.   Students may also elect to sign up for automatic payment withdrawal.
