FCTL Blogs

In order to reach the instructional community at Missouri State University, the FCTL has created a series of blogs each with a specific topic.  We hope you enjoy reading them and find the time and the inspiration to comment on some (or all) of the postings.

The Director’s blog is dedicated to my own musing not necessarily all related to teaching and learning issues.   There you will find out about my thoughts on why we teach, and whether the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning can be considered research.

The Teaching Professor’s blog discusses articles and practices published in The Teaching Professor newsletter.  This newsletter is free!  Sign up today!  You will find information on how to sign up for this newsletter on the FCTL website under the Teaching and Learning resources tab.

We are also working on two new blogs which will appear in November.  The Online Classroom blog will be dedicated to the articles published in the Online Classroom newsletter.  This newsletter is also available free!  You will find information on how to sign up for this newsletter on the FCTL website under the Teaching and Learning resources tab.  The Adjunct/Part-time faculty blog, will be dedicated to issues faced by part-time and adjunct faculty members.  It will also discuss the various chapters of the Handbook for Adjunct/Part-Time Faculty and Teachers of Adults which the FCTL purchased for adjunct and part-time instructors.  Please contact the FCTL to obtain your complimentary copy of the book.
