Welcome to the online orientation for new transfer students. This resource will help you to better understand specific issues related to transfer students regarding advisement, registration for classes, and other issues. Please read the information below to prepare for the orientation. You will see a "begin transfer student orientation" link at the bottom of this page.
Before you start this orientation:
- You must be admitted to Missouri State University. If you have not submitted an application, please go to Apply for admission.
PIN:
- You will first be prompted to login with your Missouri State ID and PIN.
- If you do not have a PIN, you will first need to obtain one before continuing in this orientation.
- If you already have a PIN, then please select the "begin transfer student orientation" link below to continue.
Instructions:
- After logging in with your ID and PIN, you will be redirected to a web-based slide presentation.
- After viewing the presentation, you will once again be required to login to confirm that you completed the orientation. This final step is very important as it will update your student record, allowing you to register for classes.
- The final confirmation page will include some useful resources that you can print or email to yourself and links to personalized information about your student record.

- Windows 98 SE, 2000, or XP operating system - Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher, Mozilla Firefox 1.5, or Netscape Navigator 7.1 browser
- Mac OS X 10.2, 10.3, or 10.4 (PPC/Intel) operating system - Safari 1.1 or higher or Mozilla Firefox 1.5 browser
- Linux operating system - Mozilla Firefox 1.5 browser
- Solaris operating system - Mozilla 1.7 browser
- Additional requirements:
- Adobe Flash Player 6.0.79 or higher
- Adobe Flash Player 7 or higher for Linux and Solaris
- Minimum bandwidth requirement is 56 kb/sec
Continue:
- The Transfer Student Orientation lasts approximately 14 minutes.
- After you have completed the orientation, please complete a brief survey so that we may continue to improve our services for transfer students. A link to it is provided at the end of the orientation.
