Springfield Cardinals Minor League Baseball — Springfield Cardinals vs Tulsa Drillers

The Springfield Cardinals are the Double-A Texas League affiliate of the 2011 MLB World Champion St. Louis Cardinals. They are one of eight teams in the Texas League along with the Arkansas Travelers, the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, the Tulsa Drillers, the Corpus Christi Hooks, the Frisco RoughRiders, the Midland RockHounds and the San Antonio Missions. They are owned and operated by the St. Louis Cardinals.

Springfield Rock'n Ribs BBQ Festival

The Springfield Rotary Rock'n Ribs BBQ Festival is the best barbecue event in town! Event highlights include: live music, BBQ sampling, motorcycle show, free children's area with inflatables, pay-per-ride entertainment activities, pie and doughnut eating contests, Porky's Cantina and over 60 barbeque teams competing for thousands in prizes! - - All monies raised stay local and are divided between: Boys & Girls Town of Missouri, Ronald McDonald House Charities-Mobile Dental Unit, Ozark Trails Council - Boy Scouts of America, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch, Harmony House and Ozarks Regional YMCA.

Into The Woods

A childless baker and his wife swindle, steal from, and lie to Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and Jack. All of this to break a witch's spells responsible for their childlessness. Everyone's wish is granted, but in Act 2, our fairy tale characters begin to feel the repercussions of their fulfilled wishes, realizing that what you want is often more than you bargained for. Featuring Kim Crosby!

The Maltese Falcon

Missouri State University's Department of Media, Journalism and Film will be screening the 1941 novel based film in which cultural icon Humphrey Bogart gives a historic performance of a private detective taking on a case that involves him with three eccentric criminals, a gorgeous liar, and their quest for a priceless statuette.
