International Business (Comprehensive)

Bachelor of Science

Major requirements (36 hours):

All students majoring in business must also satisfy all College of Business Core requirements. Hours required in the college core range from 36 to 51 depending on major.

  1. MGT 345(3), 440(3), 447(3).
  2. Six hours of MGT or ENT courses numbered 300 or higher. For example, ENT 301(3), 302(3), 392(3); MGT 341(3), 392(3), 400(3), and 494(3).
  3. Six hours of COB international courses from: ACC 506(3); FIN 392(3), 582(3), 586(3); LAW 537(3), 539(3); MKT 464(3), 474(3). MGT 496(3) and MGT 596(3) can also count if designed with international business content.
  4. Three hours of non-COB international courses from: ECO 302(3), 346(3), 456(3), 565(3); IPE 376(3), 377(3); PLS 333(3), 338(3), 437(3), 544(3), 545(3), 547(3), 548(3), 550(3), 555(3), 569(3) or additional COB international courses listed above. Department Head or program advisor may provide alternatives.
  5. Foreign Language and Culture Component: 12 credit hours from the Department of Languages, Cultures, and Religion. Students may substitute up to six hours of Education Abroad experiences. International students whose native language is not English may complete the 12 hour requirement by taking classes with global or cultural content in the following areas: Anthropology, Communication, History, International Relations, Languages and Cultures, Linguistics, Political Science, Public Administration, or Religion.
  6. Three hours or more of Education Abroad experiences (within the 36 hours required to fulfill the major). International students whose native language is not English may substitute/fulfill this requirement via a U.S. Domestic Education Abroad experience or U.S. Domestic Internship experience.

Accelerated graduate program in Business Administration

Eligible Missouri State undergraduate students may apply for admission to the Master of Business Administration program and begin taking graduate course work as they complete the work for a bachelor’s degree. A maximum of 12 hours of graduate credit may be counted toward both the undergraduate and graduate degree (Mixed Credit). Refer to the Graduate Catalog for specific admission requirements.

Accelerated graduate program in Cybersecurity

Eligible Missouri State undergraduate students in the College of Business may apply for admission to the Cybersecurity program and begin taking graduate course work as they complete the work for a bachelor’s degree. A maximum of six hours of graduate credit may be counted toward both the undergraduate and graduate degree (Mixed Credit). Refer to the Graduate Catalog for specific admission requirements.
