Undergraduate enrollment status definitions

For financial aid purposes, your enrollment status is evaluated using the following guidelines:

Full-time undergraduate

Full-time undergraduate students carry 12 or more credit hours in a fall or spring semester or carry six or more credit hours during the summer session.

Half-time undergraduate

Half-time undergraduate students carry 6-11 credit hours during a fall or spring semester or carry 3-5 credit hours during the summer session.

Less than half-time undergraduate

Less than half-time undergraduate students carry less than six credit hours during a fall or spring semester or carry less than three credit hours during the summer session.

Graduate enrollment status definitions

For financial aid purposes, your enrollment status is evaluated using the following guidelines:

Full-time graduate

Full-time graduate students carry at least 9 credit hours during a fall or spring semester and at least 6 credit hours during the summer session.

Half-time graduate

Half-time graduate students take 5-8 credit hours during a fall or spring semester and 3-5 credit hours during the summer semester.
