Biography

Dr. Daniela Novotny is a faculty member in the dietetics program in the department of biomedical sciences. She also works as a dietitian at Missouri State University's Magers Health and Wellness Center.

In her role as an educator, Novotny loves working with students to connect the dots between what they learn in the classroom and what they experience or will experience in “real-world” settings. As a dietitian, she enjoys working with people to improve their eating and lifestyle habits.

Before joining Missouri State, Novotny worked as an outpatient dietitian for many years; this allowed her to develop strong skills in counseling and education. She also stays active in the campus community by developing and implementing health/wellness programs for faculty, staff and students.
