On the inside track for an automotive dream job

To Noah Hendel, Missouri State is a major university with a unique quality: “Here, you can make your mark on campus.”

He was inspired by MSU student leaders who came before him, because he saw they were able to accomplish great things.

“There’s a great sense of community here. It’s not segregated or cliquey. Everyone sees each other for who they are, and not just for their status or title.”

Promoting MSU, helping the community

"All the opportunities I’ve had here at Missouri State have taught me so much that I feel like I’ll have enough to set me apart from other people."

Hendel promotes his view of the university through his participation in several campus organizations, including University Ambassadors, the official student public relations team of Missouri State.

He also gives back to the larger Springfield community.

He’s been a site leader for two annual volunteer days, the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service and Into the Streets.

Hendel and his student teams have traveled to nonprofits, including parks, victim centers and homeless centers, to offer their services.

“It’s not just like mindlessly doing work. Through the university, there’s a facilitated discussion afterwards. That helps you reflect on your work and realize what you’re doing is actually helping a bunch of people and improving our community.”

Driven to pursue a dream job with Audi after graduation

Promotion isn’t just part of his campus experience — it’s also part of his future.

“Right after graduation I want to pursue an MBA, and then my dream job would be to work for (auto manufacturer) Audi as a brand manager or in another corporate position.”

He previously worked for an Audi dealer near St. Louis, and developed a passion for the car brand.
