Breyanna Mack

First year student found her place at Missouri State

She used her independence to gain experiences and meet new people

Getting involved on campus

Freshman Breyanna Mack describes her first year at Missouri State with three simple words: exciting, challenging and overwhelming.

“It’s been a really good experience, being away from home and experiencing independence,” she concludes.

The Kansas City native admits that she was a little homesick at first, but her mom encouraged her to plug into campus. Breyanna soon found her place in the Chi Alpha campus ministry. Meanwhile, she is pursuing a degree in Child and Family Development.

“The best thing about my first two semesters was meeting so many diverse people,” says Breyanna. She also adds attending her first concert – the SAC Big Spring Concert featuring Childish Gambino and Tyga – as one of the highlights of her year.
