Third time's the charm for Kansas City freshman

According to Kiva, "Having people who haven't met me invest in my education... it proves they have a tremendous amount of faith in me."

Freshman Kiva Donahue chose to follow her passion for studying psychology after visiting campus three times. “Each time I fell in love with it a little more,” she said.

Scholarships support student success

Donahue, who attended Cristo Rey High School in Kansas City, is grateful for the support she is receiving to attend Missouri State. She currently receives the Andrea and Stephen Bough Scholarship, the Multicultural Leadership Scholarship, the Black Community Fund Scholarship and the Black Achievement Scholarship. “Having people who haven’t met me invest in my education is proof that they have tremendous trust and faith in me and other students like me to succeed.”

Finding her place on campus

As a Missouri State student, she has been impressed by the many opportunities available to her on campus, from scholarship balls and Greek life on campus to leadership conferences. “So many people here offer so many opportunities,” she said.
