Camaraderie and challenges in the advertising and promotion track

"If you don't see a limit, I don't think there is a limit."

Marketing major Taylor Craig found her place in the advertising and promotion track. Two of the reasons she loves the program: challenges that keep her on her toes and a strong sense of community.

Taylor's courses have pushed her to achieve more. For example, she took the summer session of Intro to Advertising, and she remembers, "That class - you just keep going and going and going." It gave her the opportunity to work on a real-world marketing campaign with the nonprofit Share Our Strength/No Kid Hungry, an experience she found both meaningful and valuable. "I think it was awesome that we got to do a campaign for something that's a problem in our own backyard," she says.

In the department, Taylor says she's been surrounded by expert faculty and supportive staff. "It's such a sense of camaraderie."

As for her future, Taylor says, "This major, I just feel like the possibilities are endless - especially if you're an ambitious person. If you don't see a limit, I don't think there is a limit."
