Information about Held Classes

 

Open Scheduling – Standard

  • University classrooms and unassigned priority classrooms are open to all departments during this period.
  • Priority labs and priority computer labs always stay with the priority department.  Builders may not utilize priority labs or computer labs that do not belong to their department.
  • Banner is the only system builders should use to check availability for rooms.
  • If a building/room has been assigned to a held section, the information MUST be removed by the end of this period.

 

Late/Department Event Scheduling

  • University classrooms and unassigned priority classrooms are open to all department during this period.
  • Priority labs and priority computer labs always stay with the priority department.  Builders may not utilize priority labs or computer labs that do not belong to their department.
  • Building/Room information assigned to held section in Banner may be administratively removed, if necessary.
  • The EMS import will be live.
  • Builders must first check Banner for room availability, then check EMS for any conflicts that may occur with the selected room.
  • Builders must check every occurrence of the class in EMS to ensure the conflicts will not occur with the class and any event that may have been scheduled into EMS.
  • Department events can now be scheduled in EMS.
