Academic Interests

I am very interested in nursing student and nurse practitioner student education.

Top Scholarly Accomplishments

I presented a poster at the Advanced Practice Nurses of the Ozarks Conference in November, 2016.

Previous Experience

I have worked as a registered nurse since 1993. I have a DNP degree from Missouri State University. I worked as a GA while obtaining the DNP and taught in the DNP program as per course faculty soon after graduation. This is my first experience as full-time university faculty.

Hobbies

I love a good mystery novel.

Future Goals and Aspirations

I plan to build long-term relationships while at Missouri State University. I hope to be a source of compassion and knowledge for future nurses, nurse practitioners, and nurse educators.

Life Outside the University

I have been married to Chris for 22 years. We have been exceedingly blessed with three amazing kids: Molly, Grace, and Cooper. Our pup, Oliver, is a source of (almost) constant joy and laughter.
