Meetings to discuss strategic expansion of academic programs in areas of workforce need, CBHE and COPHE meetings in Springfield, the Talent for Tomorrow Task Force Kickoff Meeting, discussing a higher education budget model at a Commissioner’s Advisory Task Force meeting, Missouri Partnership Board and Hawthorn Foundation meetings, the MarooNation Ball in Springfield, and the College Bound Cap and Gown Ball highlight the weeks of May 28 – June 10, 2018 for Missouri State University President Clif Smart.
Monday, May 28
The university will be closed in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
Wednesday, May 30
President Smart will attend the Health Living Alliance Advisory Council meeting. He will also join other MSU administrators to meet with administrators from the City of Springfield. President Smart will be part of a panel that discusses the vision for Springfield at a Chamber of Commerce board luncheon with current and former Springfieldian award recipients. That evening he will have dinner with Senator Roy Blunt.
Thursday, May 31
President Smart will have a series of meetings to discuss expansion of academic programs in targeted areas of workforce need. That evening he will attend MSU Alumni Night at "Phantom of the Opera" in Hammons Hall.
Saturday, June 2
President Smart will participate in MSU Alumni Day at Busch Stadium.
Monday, June 4
President Smart will speak at the annual Dual Credit Conference hosted on Missouri State’s campus.
Wednesday, June 6
President Smart will meet with staff from the Missouri Department of Higher Education as they tour campus as part of a statewide facility review. That afternoon he will attend the Missouri Council on Public Higher Education meeting. President Smart will then host members of the Coordinating Board for Higher Education as well as presidents of universities and community colleges throughout the state for dinner at his home.
Thursday, June 7
President Smart will attend the Coordinating Board for Higher Education meeting. That afternoon he will attend the Commissioner’s Advisory Group meeting to discuss proposals for a higher education budget model.
Friday, June 8
President Smart will attend the Talent for Tomorrow Task Force Kickoff Meeting. He will also attend the Missouri Partnership Board meeting and the Hawthorn Foundation luncheon. That evening President Smart will attend the MarooNation Ball in Springfield.
Saturday, June 9
President Smart will attend the College Bound Cap & Gown Ball in St. Louis.
Throughout the weeks
President Smart will meet with alumni, donors and friends of Missouri State.
