Meetings with executives from Mercy Health System, a SOAR session with incoming students, the USA program graduation ceremony and the College Bound Cap and Gown Ball highlight the weeks of May 23 – June 5 for Missouri State University President Clif Smart.
Thursday, May 26
President Smart will join other community leaders and attend the Good Community Leadership Meeting at the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce. That afternoon he will speak to the Springfield South Kiwanis Club. President Smart will also attend a retirement reception for Penni Groves, the university’s legal counsel.
Friday, May 27
President Smart will participate in a mock interview panel for Missouri State University student Angela Porcelli, a contestant for the 2016 Miss Missouri Pageant.
Monday, May 30
The university will be closed in observance of Memorial Day.
Tuesday, May 31
President Smart will attend a ribbon cutting and open house for the new Arc of the Ozarks program services building.
Thursday, June 2
President Smart and other Missouri State administrators will host executives from Mercy Health System for a visit on the Missouri State University campus. That evening he will give the welcome for the State Historical Society of Missouri’s Board of Trustees meeting.
Friday, June 3
President Smart will speak to incoming students at a Student Orientation, Advisement and Registration (SOAR) session. That afternoon he will speak at the graduation ceremony for this year’s University Staff Ambassadors (USA) program.
Saturday, June 4
President Smart will host a table of university guests at the College Bound Cap and Gown Ball in St. Louis.
Throughout the weeks
President Smart will meet with alumni, donors and friends of Missouri State.
