Going beyond the classroom

As a public health student, you are required to complete a field experience at an approved public health agency. Through the field experience, you learn more about job opportunities in public health, identify areas of the field you are most passionate about and gain valuable work experience to include on your résumé.

Community partners

As Missouri’s third-largest city, Springfield is home to numerous governmental, nonprofit and private health agencies. These agencies assist our students by providing volunteer opportunities, field experiences, job shadowing opportunities and more.
