The Academic Advising and Transfer Center is directly responsible for advising Missouri State University undergraduates who are in the process of selecting majors.

Located in Myer Library, the Bear CLAW Center for Learning and Writing is a resource center designed to help you succeed academically. A wide variety of tutoring programs are available to help you with math, science, and other general education classes. There’s also a Writing Center where you can get help and advice on any writing assignment regardless of course or topic.
Peer Assisted Study Session (PASS) is a series of review sessions for students taking historically difficult courses. PASS is provided for all students who want to improve their understanding of course material and improve their grades.
The Career Center can help you gain self-understanding and explore occupational options. You can take self-assessments, participate in a career shadowing experiences, enroll in career development courses, and learn about various careers to determine if the major and the career you’ve selected is the most suitable for your interests, skills, work values, and personality.
The Office of Multicultural Programs coordinates student programs to enhance academic performance, ethical leadership, community engagement, cultural competence and social awareness.
Summer Transition and Academic Readiness Training. Students who are graduating from high school this spring and do not meet traditional freshman admission criteria based on GPA, class rank, or test scores.
TRIO serves First Generation students and fosters student growth through academic and cultural enrichment, social interaction, and service to others. Apply to TRIO Student Support Services.
The ATC strives to provide equal access and opportunity to all faculty, staff, and students throughout all academic programs and social activities at Missouri State University. Through training and assessment of individual needs, conversion of textbooks and academic materials into accessible formats, and by providing specialized equipment and software, the Access Technology Center stands ready to help you succeed at Missouri State.
Students can get help through the MSU Counseling Center if they experience any concerns that interfere with their performance at school, such as anxiety or depression. Students are urged to visit the Center in person since email is not a secure form of communication, and confidentiality cannot be ensured.
Adult Student Services is here to help you begin your college career or to transfer from another institution to complete your degree at Missouri State.
