Items for Discussion:

Updating of Four-Year Degree Plan Websites – each of the Departmental on-line plans need to be updated by April 15. A template was created for REL that could be used by other departments if they choose.

Student Success Survey – faculty are asked to encourage CHPA majors to fill out this on-line survey so that we can obtain a larger sample of data. Last year’s survey did provide information on advisement and the need for some curricular revision.

Pre-registration and the Banner System – with pre-registration beginning on April 6th, faculty are asked to remind students that assistance is available on the Banner system in the form of a U-Tube video.

MSU at OTC (April 8) – each of the Heads or their designate will work one hour during this recruitment event at OTC.

Spring 2010 class schedule – Heads are asked to begin polling their faculty about teaching preferences for the spring 2010 schedule. A first draft of the full schedule is due to the Dean on May 1.

Hiring update – all hiring is now complete except for the PLS position and the Head position in CRM. PLS candidates are scheduled for campus visits in mid-April and phone interviews will begin next week for the CRM position. Heads were also asked to begin putting together their arguments for hiring in FY11.
