"Click to Count" Project Overview
This is a mock-up of the "Click to Count" experiment that ran from 11/3-11/6 2012.
All aspects of the experiment were conceived, produced, and implemented by service-learning students in PLS 317 (American Political Behavior) and PLS 101 (American Democracy and Citizenship).
The experiment leverages social media ads running on Facebook--and directed at the approximately 210,000 Facebook users living within 25 miles of Springfield, Missouri. Over the experiment period, 2,600,612 individual impressions of the "Click to Count" ad were included on the Facebook pages of 126,620 account users within a 25 mile radius of Springfield--making this project relevant to most of Greene County.
